🎓 Mt. Zion Scholarship Information

Application Frequency:
Students may apply once per academic year.

Scholarship Amount:
Each award will range between $400–$500.

🗓️ Application Deadlines

  • Fall Semester: May 22

  • Spring Semester: November 22

🎯 Scholarship Goal

To support Mt. Zion (Newark, NJ) members who are pursuing accredited post-high school studies, including:

  • State-accredited community colleges

  • Four-year colleges and universities

  • Technical schools

  • Graduate and professional programs

Other institutions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

✅ Eligibility Requirements

  1. New Students:
    Provide proof of acceptance and enrollment for the semester you plan to matriculate.

  2. Continuing Students:
    Provide proof of enrollment for the upcoming semester.

  3. Application Submission:
    Complete and submit the Mt. Zion Scholarship Application by the stated deadline.

  4. Church Membership:
    Must be an active member of Mt. Zion for at least one year before applying.

    • Active means attending service at least once a month (in person or online).

  5. Church Involvement:
    Must be active in at least one ongoing Mt. Zion activity, such as:

    • Bible Study

    • Church School

    • Mt. Zion ministry

    • Youth Church

    • Special programming or events

  6. Service Hours:
    Must complete a minimum of 10 service hours to Mt. Zion during the calendar year.
    Examples include:

    • Volunteering at the food pantry

    • Assisting the tech team

    • Helping with special events or ministry projects
